Not everyone might remember or know him. But cricket fans who follow domestic matches and are aware of tournaments such as the Ranji trophy and the Irani Cup know how big a player Wasim Jaffer was. He played 412 first-class innings and scored a mammoth 19147 runs. Though he played in some Tests and ODI matches, he didn't play any T20 game for the Indian team. But surprisingly, Jaffer played in the IPL and it were the Royal Challengers Bangalore, who picked him. While other franchises searched for young and energetic players, best suited for the shortest format of the game, RCB decided to give a chance to Jaffer. He played eight matches for his side and scored 130 runs with one half-century to his name. But it was to be his only season in the IPL as RCB didn't retain him and the other teams didn't consider him. Irrespective of how he fared in the IPL for RCB, Jaffer is a legend in the Indian domestic cricket scenes.
