#6 Chamara Silva
Chamara Silva was one of the three Sri Lankan players who played for Deccan Chargers in IPL 2008. The right-handed batsman had served his country for 12 years but his only IPL stint came in 2008 as a part of the Deccan Chargers.
Silva scored 43 runs for the Chargers in 3 games with a highest score of 23 not out. He even bowled one over in his IPL career but his leg breaks could not earn him any wickets. Chamara Silva was released by the Deccan Chargers because of his poor performances.
The now 39-year-old Silva represented Sri Lanka at the international level till 2011, with his last international match coming versus Pakistan. In 2017, he was banned from all forms of cricket for two years as he was found guilty for match-fixing allegations in a domestic encounter between Panadura Cricket Club and Kalutara Physical Culture Club.
