#2 2014: An ABD-Steyn Special

RCB and SRH faced off against each other in the first match in India after the completion of UAE-leg of 2014 IPL. Batting first, Sunrisers lost KL Rahul and Aaron Finch within first four overs. Warner who batted in the middle order resurrected the innings with Shikhar Dhawan. Warner's 61 helped them post 155 on board.
With a modest total to chase, RCB made life difficult for themselves as they were reduced to 4/59 in the first 10 overs. As required run rate was over 12, de Villiers capitalized on the medium pace of Darren Sammy to bring it down to 10. Steyn bowled an excellent over next up as he conceded only three runs.
With 28 required off last two and with Steyn to bowl one of them, it seemed too much for RCB. What followed next was batting at its very best as AB used the crease to change the length and manufacture shots to score boundaries all over the park. He scored 24 runs in the penultimate over as he won the match single-handedly with his 41-ball 89.
