Sushant Marathe became a part of Mumbai Indians after the termination of Kochi Tuskers Kerala

Another local wicket-keeper batsman who was a part of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala squad but never made it to the playing XI was Sushant Marathe. Kochi Tuskers Kerala was the first IPL franchise who recruited the Mumbai-born Sushant Marathe for his wicket-keeping services.

Marathe, just like Chandan Madan failed to make his IPL debut for Kochi Tuskers Kerala due to the presence of international wicket-keepers Parthiv Patel and Brendon McCullum in the squad.

Mumbai Indians snapped up Sushant Marathe next. However, the wicket-keeper batsman's poor luck continued at his home franchise as he never made his IPL debut. Marathe played his last match for Mumbai in the year 2014 and has not been a part of the Mumbai domestic team in any format ever since. Marathe was once a part of the Indian U-19 team as well.
