Sreesanth has been banned by the BCCI after he was caught in a match-fixing scandal

Sreesanth was seen as the next big thing in Indian cricket after the Kerala-born pacer played a crucial role to help India win the ICC WT20 in 2007. Sreesanth was also a part of the Indian squad that lifted the ICC World Cup in 2011. So, the owners of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala expected a lot from the experienced bowler ahead of the 2011 season.

But, Sreesanth had a disappointing IPL campaign in 2011 as he could pick only 7 wickets in the 9 matches he played for Kochi Tuskers Kerala. Also, he had an average of 29.42 which is not so good for a bowler like Sreesanth.

Sreesanth then moved to the Rajasthan Royals where he was involved in a match-fixing scandal which led to the BCCI imposing a life ban on him. The former Indian pacer has worked in movies and reality shows after the match-fixing scandal.
