#4 Dinesh Karthik

Delhi Daredevils paid a massive ₹12.5 crores to bring Dinesh Karthik on board ahead of IPL 2014. The wicketkeeper-batsman has amassed 3401 runs in 168 IPL matches at an average of 26.77 and strike rate of 128.72.
The Tiruchendur-born player earned a fat paycheck of ₹10.5 crores from Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the 2015 edition. It is to be noted that Karthik did not perform well in both the seasons when he was picked for over ₹10 crores.
Karthik garnered only 325 runs in 14 matches in IPL 2014 at an average of 23.21. IPL 2015 was his worst performance in a season as he could only manage 141 runs in 16 matches at an average of 12.81.
The 33-year-old has been retained by KKR ahead of IPL 2019. He had a phenomenal season last time around as well. The talented batsman garnered 498 runs in 16 matches at an average of 49.80 and a phenomenal strike rate of 147.77.
DK will be looking to give a spectacular performance in the upcoming IPL and lead KKR to glory.

#5 Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes was roped in by the Rising Pune Supergiants for a mouthwatering amount of ₹14.5 crores ahead of IPL 2017. The all-rounder had a phenomenal season and was named the Player of the series for making a sizeable 316 runs in 12 matches at an average of 31.60. The English player also clinched 12 wickets in IPL 2017 and proved to be bang for the buck.
RPS was dissolved in May 2017 and Stokes found a new home in Rajasthan Royals. He was purchased by the 2008 IPL Champions for ₹12.5 crores ahead of IPL 2018. However, this time around the 27-year-old was not able to replicate the stellar performance as last time. He only made 196 runs in 13 matches and could manage just 8 scalps.
