#9 KL Rahul

26-year-old KL Rahul was probably the best buy of the 2018 IPL auction. The wicketkeeper-batsman had to miss the 2017 edition due to a shoulder injury. And boy did he make up for it in 2018.
The Karnataka-born player was picked up by the Punjab-based franchise for ₹11 crores ahead of IPL 2018. He ended up as the 3rd highest run-getter of the tournament behind Kane Williamson and Rishabh Pant. The youngster amassed 659 runs in 14 matches at an average of 54.91 and strike rate of 158.41.
Rahul has been retained by Kings XI for IPL 2019 for ₹11 crores. The aggressive opener has been in good form lately. He scored 97 runs in the two T20Is played against Australia recently and also played a couple of brilliant knocks for India A against England Lions.

#10 Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey was roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹11 crores ahead of IPL 2018. The Uttarakhand-born player had a disappointing season as he could only make 284 runs in 15 matches at a dismal average of 25.81. The 29-year-old has been retained for the same amount ahead of IPL 2019.
The Right-handed batsman will be looking to make a much more significant contribution to justify his price tag.
No player was picked up for over ₹10 crores at the 2019 IPL auctions. The most expensive players to be sold were Varun Chakravarthy and Jaydev Unadkat - both fetched ₹8.4 crores.
