Nehra has played in nine out of the 10 IPL seasons, representing five different franchises. Apart from the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, Nehra has played for the Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors India, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in his IPL career. He donned the Mumbai jersey in just one season and that was way back in the first edition in 2008.

Nehra played two seasons for the MS Dhoni-led Chennai side- in 2014 and 2015 and was a part of the squad that reached the final in the eighth edition where they lost to Mumbai at Kolkata. Nehra won his only IPL title in 2016 at Sunrisers Hyderabad under David Warner after moving from the CSK. Overall, in 88 IPL matches, Nehra has taken 105 wickets at an economy of 7.83 with his best figures being 4/10.
