#5 Shane Watson

A premier all-rounder in T20 cricket, Watson's all-round ability has fetched him many a contract in franchise cricket but one defining stint with the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018, where he scored 555 runs from 15 matches, including 117* in the finals exposed Watson's caliber.
The burly all-rounder from Australia shifted to the CSK ranks after a below-par season with RCB and looked in serene form all throughout as he scored at 39.64 and a strike rate of 154.59.
Watson started with a bang against KKR, a 19-ball 42 with three fours and three sixes setting the tone for the rest of the season. Against the Rajasthan Royals, Watson was at his decimating best, as he powered his way to a 57-ball 106, his first century for CSK.
However, he picked up just 28 runs from the next three games before finding form yet again with a 40-ball 78 against Delhi and notched up his second fifty of the season with a 35-ball 57 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
A duck in the first qualifier did not deter the all-rounder as he blasted his way to a 57-ball 117 against SRH in the finals and in the process, helped CSK register their third IPL title.
