Left-handed Uttar Pradesh batsman Tanmay Srivastav was India's highest scorer in the U-19 World Cup 2008 and was thus considered to go on to shine in senior cricket. However, it was not to be so.

Picked by Kings XI Punjab in 2008, he was a member of the team for eight matches but batted only thrice, managing only eight runs. He was later a part of Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Deccan Chargers but never played a game for them.
