#3. Most 200-plus partnerships - 3
RCB’s world-class batting unit has established records that only stand in the IPL but are the leading figures in world cricket as well. The 229-run partnership between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers against Gujarat Lions at Bengaluru in the 2016 season remains an unscaled peak.
There have been only four double-century stands in the IPL history, three of them belong to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli remains the common factor in them. His first 200-plus partnership was with Chris Gayle against Delhi Daredevils at Delhi in IPL 2012. Gayle scored 128 not out on that occasion.
Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers joined hands to destroy Mumbai Indians at Mumbai. The duo blazed an unbeaten partnership of 215 runs in 2015 edition of the IPL. Next season, both Kohli and ABD stormed to their individual centuries with a 229-run stand for the third wicket against Gujarat Lions. These two remains the only batsmen to share the 200-run partnership more than once in the IPL.
