Perhaps the best time Mitchell Johnson had in the IPL was with Mumbai Indians. The pacer won IPL titles on both the occasions he played for the franchise. Johnson was also part of the Mumbai Indians squad that won the Champions League in 2013. In his debut IPL season in the year 2013, Johnson dished out some dreaded spells of fast bowling.
He was pivotal to Mumbai Indians' maiden IPL title, picking up 24 wickets in 17 matches, bowling at an outstanding economy of 7.17. Even though Mumbai Indians did not retain him in the next auction, he made a comeback to the franchise in 2017. Johnson, who was having an ordinary tournament till then, was called up in the big finals and delivered the goods. The Australian bowled a match-winning spell of 3-26 and led Mumbai Indians to victory.
