Karbonn Smart KPL 2015: Vijay Kumar, Raghavendra to don Namma Shivamogga colours

Bangalore, August 16, 2015: Vijay Kumar and Raghavendra are the players who will take up the two catchment area slots in the new franchisee Namma Shivamogga for Karbonn Smart KPL 2015 from September 2 to 19.

Vijay is a wicketkeeper-batsman who was a U-16 player with the Zonal Cricket Academy and Raghavendra is a batting allrounder who played U-22.

“We thought both the players had lost their way after being on the radar a few years earlier and KPL is the right stage for these players to reinvent themselves,” said team chief coach G.K Anil Kumar.

Vijay and Raghavendra were chosen from amongst six players from the catchment area and selections were held over two days which included fitness test, skills training, etc in the presence of team owner Umapathy, Anil Kumar and skipper Stuart Binny.
