Thiruvananthapuram, April 25 (IANS) The Kerala Police is yet to track down the thieves who made off with more than 150 medals and gifts received by cricketer Sanju Samson, his father said Friday.

“It’s now three weeks since thieves broke into our home (that’s now locked in the fishing village near a beach here). Sanju, who is in UAE, asked me on Thursday about progress made in the probe. I told him no good news has come so far,” Sanju’s father Samson Viswanath told IANS.

The 19-year-old Rajasthan Royals sensation is giving fielders a tough time when the ball leaves his bat during the seventh edition of the IPL.

The Samsons now live in the state capital, while their ancestral house where Sanju’s medallions were kept, was ransacked by thieves.

“More than 150 medals and gift items he received while playing cricket, were taken away. We all feel sad because those who have taken them, will not gain anything. But for us, the medals meant a lot and they were priceless,” said Viswanath, who quit the Delhi Police a few years back to guide his two children in their love for cricket.
