Your eyes must have been craved to see Dhoni finish off an ODI. Finally, we witnessed it at the Adelaide Oval in the second ODI against the Aussies, even though it was Kohli who owned the chase. There have been many questions about his finishing ability off late. But Dhoni remains unbothered by it. Yes the king of finishing has been rusty, but he knows his game.

He took his time initially, Kohli's aggressive approach helped him get through the start without much pressure and then when Kohli departed, he picked up the gear. Dhoni loves to take the game deep. He likes a situation where the bowling and batting team are under same pressure, and then he unleashes his decisive blows.

Today, Karthik helped him out. Dhoni and Karthik's partnership brought the equation to just 7 off the last over. But how can a Dhoni finish be done without a six. The first ball of the last over from Behrendorff, Dhoni dispatches the ball over the long-on boundary, reminding a bit of the 112 metre six he hit at the very same venue 7 years back in the final over to seal the result in India's favour.

Dhoni is an integral part of the team and him showing good signs will enhance India's chances at the World Cup.
