Despite the loss in the Test series, India continued to stay on top of the ICC Test rankings as the number one side in the world.

England, however, climbed up to number four on the list.
Virat Kohli, who scored 593 runs in the entire series, continues to stay on top of the ICC rankings for Test batsmen whereas James Anderson, who recently surpassed Glenn McGrath as the leading wicket-taker in Tests amongst fast bowlers, is on top of the bowlers rankings.
