KPL 2015, Match 14: Can Mysuru Warriors tame Belagavi Panthers again?

Hubballi, September 8, 2015: While the first match on Wednesday of the Karbonn Smart KPL 2015 promises to be a humdinger, the second contest between defending champions Mysuru Warriors and title aspirants Belagavi Panthers promises an even more intriguing contest.

For the defending champs, their skipper is yet to announce his presence. Manish Pandey has failed in the three outings as opener and it will be interesting to see if he will drop down the order to make an impression or if he will continue to challenge the opening slot and the authority of the forces of nature and unknown bowlers at the beginning.

Pandey is a key for the team. In the three matches so far the defending team came a cropper in two games while they huffed and puffed to victory in the third.

Opening batsman Arjun Hoysala has proven his worth in each of the three matches and will b expected to shore the team up again. However, the rest of the batsmen will need to chip in if the team has to get to viewing the knock-out stage.

The Panthers are on a roll. They will be smarting from losing a point to the Rockstars due to rain. But their team carries the potential to get to the wire.

Having lost the final to Mysuru last year, Vinay and his boys will seek to level scores here and probably stick a wedge in Mysuru’s cycle.

A loss to either team will make it that much more difficult considering that the second leg is on in another city and another track and different crowd as well in a few days.
