Chester-le-Street (England), May 31 (IANS) Sri Lankan pacer Shaminda Eranga has been reported for suspect action during the second Test against England here.

Eranga, who went wicketless in both the innings of the match which England won by nine wickets, will now have to get his action tested at an International Cricket Council (ICC) accredited centre within 14 days.

The 29-year-old, however, can continue bowling in international cricket until the result of the test is declared.

Eranga's action was found questionable in the match, officiated by Pakistan's Aleem Dar and India's S. Ravi, with Andy Pycroft as the match referee. If Eranga's action is found to be illegal, the right-arm pacer will be barred from bowling until he remodels his action and has it cleared at an ICC accredited centre.

Struggling to find their feet in the three-match Test series, the Islanders have lost the first two matches and losing the pacer could add to their woes. Sri Lanka have already lost first-choice quicks Dhammika Prasad and Dushmantha Chameera to injury.

The third Test will be played from June 9 to 13 at the Lord's ground in London.
