Sir Richard John Hadlee MBE is a former New Zealand fast bowler who represented the Kiwis from 1973 to 1990. He also briefly held the world record highest number of Test wickets.

Hadlee took his 300th wicket in the first Test against Australia at Wellington in 1986, when he trapped Allan Border LBW for 13 runs.
Hadlee finished his career with a then-world record haul of 431 Test wickets, which was eclipsed by India's Kapil Dev.
