Easily the most controversial yet the most loved player, West Indies second highest run scorer in ODI cricket after Brian Lara, the most valuable T20 player ever, the Calypso King, Chris Gayle is set to retire from ODIs after the 2019 World Cup.

Chris Gayle's retirement will not only leave a dent in West Indies cricket but will also sadden his fans all over the world who loved his machismo and big sixes on the field.

Apart from Gayle, Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels and Dwayne Bravo, who were the backbone of the 2016 WorldT20 winning side but are not currently in the scheme of things in West Indian cricket, are also likely to officially announce their retirement post the 2019 World Cup.
