Manjrekar tweet stirs a new controversy

Sanjay Manjrekar has now taken the Suresh Raina route as his tweet regarding the BCCI has started another controversy. A few hours following India’s Test series loss, the former India cricketer tweeted saying that fans like Geoffrey Boycott, as he is the only guy to remain free from BCCI’s shackles on the ESPNSTAR commentary troop. The troop includes a lot of famous personalities like Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Harsha Bhogle and L. Sivaramakrishnan.

Last year, Raina faced a similar controversy tweeting about his IPL preferences and also Anti-Pakistan quotes. The southpaw then deleted the tweet and put the blame on his cousin, which raised a lot of negative criticism.

Now, Manjrekar has deleted the tweet in minutes, but many of his followers have now retweeted his quote, leading to lot of speculations on the media. It would be interesting to see Manjrekar’s response to this harsh tweet on the BCCI.
