Marcus Trescothick - The face of Friends Life

Former English cricket player Marcus Trescothick has been signed on as a brand ambassador for Friends Life, which is an insurance company that sponsors the Friends Life T20 competition.

The agreement which will be active through the course of the 2013 cricket season, will see Trescothick in his Friends Life’s cricket programme’s ambassador and will present the fans with an opportunity to win an exclusive ‘expert masterclass’ with the cricket legend at Lord’s cricket ground.

The Somerset captain said: “I’m delighted to be an ambassador for Friends Life who have a long standing association with cricket, and over the past few years have become an integral part of the domestic T20 competition. I look forward to working with them during a very exciting season in English cricket.”

After Friends Life announced that they would not be renewing their sponsorship after the campaign, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has admitted that they will have to look out for another title sponsor for the domestic T20 competition in 2014.
