Match officials for ICC World Cup 2015 announced; former World Cup winners on elite panel

25-member match officials’ announced for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is set to begin on the Valentines Day of 2015 to go on until 29 March. The officials to officiate the matches have been announced by ICC. The 25 member match officials team includes four World Cup winners – the likes of David Boon, Kumara Dharmasena, Roshan Mahanama and Paul Reiffel.

Boon was part of Allan Border’s Australian team that won the ICC Cricket World Cup 1987, Dharmasena and Mahanama played in the ICC Cricket World Cup 1996 win in Lahore and Reiffel represented the victorious Australia squad at Lord’s in the ICC Cricket World Cup 1999.

David Boon, Chris Broad, Jeff Crowe, Ranjan Madugalle and Roshan Mahanama will be the match refrees.

Billy Bowden, Aleem Dar, Kumar Dharmasena, Marais Erasmus, Nigel Llong, Paul Reiffel, Richard Illingworth, Rod Tucker, Bruce Oxenford, Ian Gould, Steve Davis and Richard Kettleborough are the elite panel umpires.

Johan Cloete, Simon Fry, Chris Gaffaney, Joel Wilson, Michael Gough, Ranmore Martinesz, Ruchira Palliyaguru and S.Ravi are the international panel umpires.

The umpires were chosen by the selection panel of ICC General Manager Geoff Allardice, ICC Chief Match Referee Ranjan Madugalle, David Lloyd and Srinivas Venkataraghavan.
