Mumbai Cricket Association president Sharad Pawar has announced that the MCA ground in Mahavir Nagar, Kandivli, will be named as the ‘Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana’ in the honour of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who will be retiring after his 200th Test against West Indies at the Wankhede Stadium which is scheduled to begin on November 14, 2013.

The newly elected president also confirmed that 500 tickets for the Master Blaster’s final Test match will be given to him and he will be granted the complete license to distribute them to whoever he wants to.

While there are widespread rumours around the media stating that Tendulkar had personally requested the MCA to give him the access to 500 tickets, according to NDTV, Pawar has refuted the claims saying that the 40-year-old did not ask for any such favour.
