The matches will be played in Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne CCI from 7:30 PM IST . With a total of 22 matches to be played in the competition, 20 of them will be league matches where 5 teams will play against each other twice in a round-robin format. Each side will play 8 games in the league round.
The top three teams after the league stage will progress into the next round where the table topper will directly make a place in the final. The franchises finishing in the 2nd and 3rd spot will face off in the eliminator and get to the final.
To kickstart, we’ll see Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants in action. Talking of the Mumbai side, they picked up a pretty balanced side in the auction with big names in their squad such as the Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, British all-rounder Natalie Sciver-Brunt, Windies skipper Hayley Matthews and a bunch of young talent like Pooja Vastrakar, Yastika Bhatia and many more.
