Australian captain Michael Clarke, when he padded up to face some bowling from the kids in the gathered crowd, gave those boys a moment to remember for the rest of their life.

The 33-year-old was present at Ray Lindwall Oval, adjacent to the Allan Border Field, where India A were playing the Australian A side in an unofficial Test match. The right-handed batsman picked some kids to bowl at him during the tea break on Day 2 of the match.

Dale D’souza, one of the happy faces to have a go at Clarke, claimed that he was “very close” in dismissing the batsmen who averages 51.50 in 105 Test matches.

“I was watching the game, and then I saw this big crowd here so I said ‘What’s going on? Then I saw a few boys bowling to Michael Clarke and I was lucky to bowl to him.

“I felt a little nervous at the start, but then I eventually bowled well at the end so I felt good about it,” said the 11-year-old.
