Mohun Bagan announces Rs.1 lakh cash award for Mohammed Shami

Kolkata - Mohun Bagan on Wednesday announced a cash award of Rs.1 lakh for Indian pacer Mohammed Shami for his dream Test debut with four wickets on day one of the match against the West indies at Eden Gardens here.

Mohun Bagan assistant general secretary Srinjoy Bose said the club was delighted at the “stupendous performance of our cricketer”.

“Mohun Bagan Athletic Club will give a cash award of Rs.1 lakh to Mohammed Shami immediately at the end of the Test match as a token of appreciation,” Bose statement said.

The club also wished Shami all the best in the coming days.
