Veteran Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal holds the record for registering the most number of four-wicket-hauls in the history of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The veteran spinner claimed three four-wicket-hauls in 23 appearances at the global showpiece event.
Apart from Ajmal, veteran Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who is set to feature in his ninth T20 World Cup next month, is the only bowler who has taken three four-wicket-hauls in the tournament’s history. Shakib, who is also the leading wicket-taker (47) in T20 World Cup history, will look to leapfrog Ajmal in the forthcoming event.
The South African pace duo of Anrich Nortje and Morne Morkel have picked two four-fors each, as has former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who took two four-wicket-hauls in his 34-match career.
Among the Indians, only R Ashwin, who is also the leading wicket-taker for his country at the showpiece event, features in the list, thanks to the four-wicket-haul (4/11) he took against Australia during the 2014 event.
The likes of Trent Boult, DJ Bravo, Samuel Badree, and Curtis Campher have also taken one apiece.
