The legendary Virat Kohli rules the roost when it comes to accumulating half-centuries in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The 35-year-old has smashed 14 half-centuries in just 25 innings over the course of the last five T20 WC campaigns. In 25 innings, the Indian run-machine has hammered 1141 runs @ 81.5/131.3 with the help of 14 50+ scores, including four in knockouts.
Swashbuckling West Indies opener is at the second spot, thanks to his nine 50+ scores. The “Universe Boss” is the only player to smash two T20 World Cup hundreds. Overall, he scored 965 runs @ 34.4/142.7 with nine 50+ scores, including a couple of tons.
India’s Rohit Sharma is at the third spot. The opener, who has featured in each edition of the ICC T20 World Cup thus far, has managed nine 50s in 39 outings.
Former Sri Lankan top-order duo of Mahela Jayawardene and T Dilshan are at the fourth and fifth spot respectively.
While Mahela smashed seven 50+ scores, including one hundred, Dilshan racked up six half-centuries in his 35-match career.
