David Warner (SRH)
If there is one player who has dominated the IPL over the last few years, it is David Warner. No player has had the consistency and impact that the Australian left-hander has since the start of 2014. Ever since he switched to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), he has become an IPL beast.
In fact, since 2014, Warner has played five seasons and has won the Orange Cap thrice (2015, 2017, 2019). He has amassed 3271 runs at an average of 55.44 and a strike-rate of 146.88. The opener has smashed 34 fifties and two hundreds in 71 games which is simply ridiculous consistency. Often, he’s a one-man army for SRH and has won games single-handedly. Teams will have to watch out for him this year as well as he’s in some sublime form and will be raring to go once again.
Hardik Pandya (MI)
Hardik Pandya has something rare in him and something that India have been striving for long now. He is one player who can bowl his full quota of overs and bat in the top six or seven. The younger Pandya brother is a fierce hitter of a cricket ball and smokes sixes for fun as well. Moreover, he has the knack of picking up wickets at regular intervals.
Over the years, Pandya has been a crucial component of the Mumbai Indians (MI) side and provides impeccable balance. However, he’s coming on the back of a long injury layoff. He’s made an excellent comeback as he smashed a 37-ball ton and picked up five wickets in a game in the DY Patil T20 tournament.
