England – Edgbaston (27/50)

Edgbaston hosted a thriller Ashes Test in 2005 in which England prevailed by 2 runs.

Edgbaston hosted its first Test match way back in 1902, and became England’s 6th Test venue. Earlier this year, it became the 14th venue to host 50 Test matches.

There’s also one fact most people might not know about Edgbaston. It is one of England’s most successful grounds. In fact, since 2002, England have lost only once (against South Africa in 2008). Overall, in 50 Tests, England have 27 wins and have lost only 8 Tests.

Even though in the last 7 years, only 6 Tests have been played Edgbaston, England have won 5 of those Tests (including the Ashes win in 2015). Hence, Edgbaston is one of England’s favourite venues.
