One of the major disappointments in the first part of the movie is that it didn't portray the kind of relationship he had with his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. In fact, the whole movie had just one scene on the franchise unveiling him ahead of the first season.

A lot of things have changed since the end of 2011 World Cup. Dhoni led them to their second consecutive IPL title in 2011, the only team to do so in the IPL so far, almost won their third in 2012, slapped with a two-year suspension in 2015, served the ban, returned to the field and ended up winning their third title in 2018 after a two-year absence.

This is something that the fans, especially the Chennai Super Kings fans, would love to see.
