The first part came to an end with MS Dhoni's six to win the World Cup for India. One couldn't have asked for a better finish to a biopic of a sportsperson who has done a lot to his country.
But, Dhoni went through a dark phase as a captain soon after as India, under his leadership, went 14 matches without a win away from home, which included a 4-0 in England and a 4-0 in Australia (Dhoni captained in just three matches in Australia). He faced a lot of criticisms and came back strongly.
This is not the only struggle he faced after the 2011 World Cup. His form dipped marginally in limited-overs cricket and there were a lot of calls for his retirement from the format. He silenced all his critics once for all with his swashbuckling knocks in the 2018 IPL, which many believe is a resurrection of MS Dhoni.
Like any other cricketer, he had hard times and he faced a lot of criticisms then. But, he overcame everything and is still going strong. The way he came back from his setbacks will also be an inspiration for a lot of people who are facing similar issues.
