The league stage will see every team playing two games against every other team, one at home and one away. The double round-robin stage will hope to see the teams constantly moving up and down in the Mzansi League points table if each contingent is strongly equipped on the day and provide the best cricket on the field. This will be a huge boost for the tournament as fans love to see tough battles rather than one-sided games.
While the league stage is similar to that of the the biggest T20 tournament in the world, IPL, there is a twist in the knockout stages of the event. Unlike the Indian Premier League, the team that finishes at the top of the Mzansi Super League standings, will get a direct entry into the Final. The teams finishing second and third will play an Eliminator to decide the second finalist.
