Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder and bowling coach Dwayne Bravo recently met the team's CEO Kasi Viswanathan. The two reunited in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction.

Bravo's long-standing association with the Chennai-based franchise ended earlier this year. The 41-year-old joined hands with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and is set to serve as the mentor of the three-time champions for the forthcoming edition.

Sharing a picture with Viswanathan ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, Bravo wrote:

"💜💛💜💛 a special moment @chennaiipl CEO 🧑‍💼 tomorrow is the big day! @kkriders 🔥🔥🔥"

After joining KKR as a mentor, Bravo shared a note on his Instagram handle to thank the CSK fans. He wrote:

"Vanakkam, this is a champion. It's not a secret now the news is out that I have accepted the deal to be the mentor of the Knight Riders franchise. Just want to take this time to give a special mention and a special thank you to the CSK management team for giving me their blessings to move on to do something that I am really passionate about."
"My fans in Chennai and to all the CSK fans around the world, I call on you to give me your blessings and support as you always do. I know this is a sad moment for you guys, but it is one that I encourage you to continue to support me in everything that I do. Lot's of love, yellove, all the time. See you guys soon. See you on the other side," he added.

The IPL 2025 mega auction is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The event will be held on November 24 and 25 where a total of 577 players will go under the hammer.

CSK have retained five players ahead of IPL 2025 auction

Chennai endured a disappointing campaign in IPL 2024, narrowly missing out on a playoff spot based on net run rate. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side will aim to bounce back next year.

Major changes are expected in the CSK lineup, with the mega auction just around the corner. The franchise has retained four capped and one uncapped player prior to the event.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (₹18 crore), Ravindra Jadeja (₹18 crore), Matheesha Pathirana (₹13 crore), Shivam Dube (₹12 crore) and MS Dhoni (₹4 crore) were their five retentions. Chennai have one Right to Match (RTM) at their disposal for the IPL 2025 mega auction. Chennai will enter the event with a remaining purse of ₹55 crore.
