Hardik Pandya shines with both bat and ball as India starts the series on a bright note

The first match of the series against Bangladesh took place on October 6 in Gwalior. After opting to bowl first, India started strongly with Arshdeep Singh dismissing Litton Das (4) in the first over. He quickly followed up by taking the wicket of Parvez Hossain Emon (8).

Varun Chakaravarthy, returning to the Indian team after three years, made an immediate impact by taking the wickets of Towhid Hridoy (12) and Jaker Ali (8) in quick succession. Debutant Mayank Yadav also impressed by claiming his first international wicket, dismissing Mahmudullah.

Despite Mehidy Hasan Miraz remaining unbeaten on 35 runs off 32 balls, India's bowlers limited the visitors to 127 runs. Arshdeep and Varun took three wickets each, while Mayank, Hardik Pandya, and Washington Sundar contributed one wicket apiece.

In response, Sanju Samson and captain Suryakumar both scored 29 runs. Hardik then took charge, finishing unbeaten on 39 runs off 16 balls, including five fours and two sixes, as India secured a seven-wicket victory with 49 balls remaining.
