After much delay owing to issues between the PCB and the BCCI, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy earlier this month. The ODI event, last held in 2017, will be played from February 19 to March 9. Pakistan will host majority of the games across three venues in the country, but India will play their matches in Dubai in a hybrid model.
Eight teams will be part of the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy. The sides have been divided into two groups of four each. Apart from arch-rivals India and Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand have been placed in Group A. England, South Africa, Afghanistan and Australia are in Group B. The semifinals will be held on March 4 and March 5, with the final on March 9.
Bangladesh will begin their 2025 Champions Trophy campaign with a match against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on February 20. They will then face New Zealand at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on February 24. Bangladesh will conclude their group stage campaign with a match against hosts Pakistan in Rawalpindi on February 27.
