The Harbour Diamonds locked horns with the Shrachi Rarh Tigers in the fifth match of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024. The Murshidabad Kueens faced the Servotech Siliguri Strikers in the sixth match. Both games were held at Jadavpur University Complex in Kolkata.

A solid all-round effort helped the Shrachi Rarh Tigers beat the Harbour Diamonds convincingly. The second game of Friday was a thriller of a contest and the Murshidabad Kueens emerged victorious by four runs.

With the win, the Murshidabad Kueens have moved to the top of the points table. They grabbed their second win of the tournament to go to the top with four points to their name. Sobisco Smashers Malda follow the Kueens with two points and a net run rate of +0.397 to their name.

The Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers are placed third with two points and a net run rate of +0.150 under their belt. The Shrachi Rarh Tigers grabbed their first win of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024 and have moved to the fourth spot, taking their net run rate to +0.114.

The Harbour Diamonds suffered their first loss and follow the Tigers in the points table with two points and a net run rate of +0.113. The Adamas Howrah Warriors are placed sixth in the points table with zero points and a net run rate of -0.150 to their name.

The Rashmi Medinipur Wizards lost their opening game and follow the Warriors in the points table. The Servotech Siliguri Strikers have now lost both their games and are placed at the bottom of the points table with a net run rate of -0.596.


Murshidabad Kueens grab their second consecutive win in the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024

The Shrachi Rarh Tigers were asked to bat first by the Harbour Diamonds in the fifth match of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024. Sujata Dey scored 33 while opening the batting but a lack of contributions from the other batters resulted in them finishing their innings on 109/7.

Chasing it, the Harbour Diamonds kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They failed to get the momentum as they got bundled out on 94 to lose the game by 15 runs. Each of the six Shrachi Rarh Tigers’ bowlers picked up at least a wicket, with Chandrima Biswas and Remondina Khatun grabbing two each.

A solid bowling performance from the Shrachi Rarh Tigers helped them defend 110 successfully and grab two points to get off the mark in the ongoing edition of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League.

The sixth game was a closely fought one. Batting first, the Murshidabad Kueens posted 98 on the board, with Sandipta Patra top-scoring with 26. Chandrima Ghosal, Snigdha Bag and Pampa Sarkar picked up two wickets each for the Servotech Siliguri Strikers.

Chasing a modest total, the Strikers’ batters struggled but Priti Mondal held the innings nicely. She fought hard and scored an unbeaten 37 but it wasn’t enough as they fell agonizingly short by four runs.

Priyanka Prasad was sensational with the ball for Murshidabad Kueens. She picked up six wickets and gave away only six runs in her four overs, which included a maiden. Her spell helped the Kueens to restrict the Strikers to 94/9 while defending 99.

With this win, the Murshidabad Kueens remain unbeaten in the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024. The Servotech Siliguri Strikers, on the other hand, remain winless in the competition.
