"Just cleared my head a bit to just go out and play" - Glenn Maxwell opens up on his stellar knock

Speaking in a mid-innings interview, Glenn Maxwell expressed his delight over slamming the fastest century in the competition's history.

He mentioned that his approach was to stay till the end after David Warner and Cameron Green lost their wickets. Maxwell said:

"Feels pretty good. I've been pretty cooked all day. Probably just cleared my head a bit to just go out and play. The situation when Davey (Warner) and Greeny (Green) got out, I had to take it deep a little bit. Patty (Cummins) was good as well. Even if they are banging it into the wicket, I feel I have enough time to go after it. And when they are bowling quick, my hands have to be faster. Just generally try to get it over the infield."

With two wins and as many losses to their name after four outings, Australia are currently placed fourth in the points table.
