Liam Haskett picked up two wickets on BBL debut
Left-arm quick Liam Haskett had a bittersweet BBL debut. The Adelaide Strikers batted first and piled on a gigantic total of 251/5 on the board. Haskett did not get the opportunity to bat in the innings. However, he made an impact with the ball, with Brisbane Heat chasing the huge target.
Haskett accounted for Michael Neser, dismissing him after the batter scored 18 runs off just eight deliveries. Nesser was Haskett's maiden wicket. He then picked up the wicket of Tom Alsop as well, sending the wicket-keeper batter back to the hut for just 10 runs.
While he did pick up a couple of wickets, Haskett was on the expensive side, ending with figures of 2/43 from three overs with an economy rate of 14.3.
However, the Strikers went on to bundle Brisbane Heat out for just 195 runs, thus registering a commanding 56-run victory in the end. With the result, Haskett ended up on the winning side on his debut.
