Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan led from the front against Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing Buchi Babu trophy at India Cements Ltd cricket ground in Sankar Nagar on Friday, August 16. The wicketkeeper-batter smashed back-to-back sixes off Adheer Pratap Singh, taking just 86 balls to reach his century. It was his seventh first-class century.
Kishan scored 114 runs off 107 balls with the help of 10 sixes and five boundaries. Ishan was eventually dismissed by Akash Raghuvanshi, who took a stunning catch in the first slip off Adheer's bowling.
As per reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has offered Kishan an opportunity to make his comeback to the national side ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh in September.
According to Cricbuzz, Kishan was sidelined from Team India selections after skipping the Ranji Trophy earlier this year. As a result, the left-hander was ignored in the central contract.
