A video featuring a compilation of clips in which India's Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma is seen getting bowled in near-identical manner has gone viral on social media. The right-handed batter is under the pump, as he has been struggling for runs in red-ball cricket recently.

Rohit was dismissed for a nine-ball duck in the first innings of the ongoing Test against New Zealand at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. He was squared up by a good length ball from Kiwi pacer Tim Southee that moved away off the seam and hit the top of off stump. The wicket marked the 14th instance of the Indian batter being dismissed by Southee in international cricket.

The manner of dismissal was also not uncommon. He has been out in similar fashion many times in his international career across formats. Following his latest bowled dismissal, a video is going viral on social media, which features clips of the right-handed batter being dismissed by pacers in a similar manner over the years.

Before being dismissed for a duck in the first innings against the Kiwis in Pune, Rohit was out for 2 and 52 in the first Test of the ongoing series at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In the preceding two-match Test series against Bangladesh, he registered scores of 6, 5, 23 and 8.

How many times has Rohit Sharma been bowled in international cricket?

If we analyze Rohit's dismissals in international cricket, he has been bowled as many as 21 times in 108 Test innings. In the one-day format, the 37-year-old has been cleaned up 39 times in 257 innings. Looking at his numbers in the T20I format, he has been bowled 24 times in 151 innings.

The Indian captain's lack of form is a major concern heading into the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which begins in Australia on November 22. The opening batter is India's second-leading run-getter in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle. In 23 innings, he has scored 796 runs at an average of 36.18, with three hundreds and four fifties.

The Indian captain scored two hundreds in the five-match Test series at home against England earlier this year. However, since the start of the home series against Bangladesh, he has only one fifty-plus score in seven innings.
