East Delhi Riders secured the Delhi Premier League 2024 title with a thrilling three-run win over South Delhi Superstarz in the grand finale at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
East Delhi Riders opted to bat first after winning the toss. Their top-order collapsed for 56 runs on the board in 8.5 overs. Middle-order batter Mayank Rawat (78* in 39) with seven fours and six sixes stood tall to take the side's total to 183/5 in 20 overs.
In the chase, South Delhi Superstars staged a collapse at 81/6 in 11.1 overs. However, Tejaswi Dahiya decided to put up a show, scoring 68 runs off 42 balls with seven fours and four sixes.
Vision Panchal's 25 runs off nine balls and Digvesh Rathi's 21* runs off 16 balls surely kept them in the hunt However, that wasn't enough for South Delhi to cross the line as they suffered a three-run loss.
Rounak Waghela pocketed a three-fer while Simrajeet Singh also picked up three wickets to seal the game and silverware for his side.

South Delhi opening batter Priyansh Arya ended the tournament as the leading run-scorer, accumulating 608 runs from 10 innings at an exceptional average of 67.56. His teammate Ayush Badoni scored 522 runs in nine innings to maintain his second rank.
East Delhi batters Himmat Singh and Anuj Rawat retained their third and fourth positions with 381 and 356 runs. North Delhi's Vaibhav Kandpal holds the fifth rank with 314 runs. Central Delhi's Dhruv Kaushik retained his sixth slot with 294 runs.
East Delhi's Mayank Rawat ascended from the 15th to the seventh rank with 289 runs. Sujal Singh (285), Aprit Rana (262), and Ankit Kumar (258) slipped one spot each to secure the eighth, ninth, and 10th ranks, respectively.
Delhi Premier League 2024 Most Wickets List
Simarjeet Singh, the East Delhi pacer, rocketed from the fourth to the pole position in the bowling charts with 18 wickets from 10 innings at 18.17.
Purani Delhi 6 bowlers Aayush Singh Thakur and Aayush Singh slid one spot each with 18 scalps apiece at 18.5 and 18.56 respectively. East Delhi's Harsh Tyagi also slipped one spot to the fourth rank with 16 scalps each at 14.38.
South Delhi's Digvesh Rathi moved one spot up to the fifth rank with 14 scalps at 21.71. North Delhi's Siddhartha Solanki slid one spot to the sixth rank with 13 scalps at 11.69.
Prince Yadav (13) and Sumit Kumar (11) retained their seventh and eighth ranks at 24.23 and 17.45 respectively. Mayank Rawat moved up from the 13th to the ninth rank with 11 scalps at 16.64 while Rajneesh Dadar descended from the ninth to the 10th rank with 11 wickets at 20.27.
