DPL Season 8: Celebrating Women Empowerment

Season 8 of the Digital Premier League (DPL) is all set to be held on December 7 and 8. The DPL, founded by Taru Shetty and Shoaib Khan, is an innovative initiative aimed at promoting unity and camaraderie within the digital industry through cricket. The platform brings together renowned publishers, ad networks, agencies, and clients, offering participants a rare opportunity to connect beyond their professional roles and strengthen personal ties.

The league’s distinctive format promotes harmony and teamwork across the digital media ecosystem. Over the past seven seasons, DPL has earned accolades within the industry for its success in creating meaningful engagement.

DPL season 8 will celebrate women's empowerment, with 24 female captains leading the teams. The captains are selected for their leadership qualities, while prominent industry leaders don the mantle of team owners, making the tournament a wonderful showcase of talent and inclusivity. The upcoming season is set to build on the success of previous editions and further establish DPL as a cornerstone of networking and collaboration within the digital fraternity.

The player who received the top three bids at the DPL Season 8 auction, Krishnan Iyer of Standard Chartered Bank was sold to Impact Blasters for ₹55,00,000. Also, Yogesh Kumbhar of Valueleaf Services was purchased by Viral for ₹45,00,000. Shubham N of Performics received the third-highest bid. He was sold to Social Media Stars for ₹44,00,000.
