India A locked horns with India D in the third match of the Duleep Trophy 2024 at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur. In the fourth match, India B faced India C which was held at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B.
After being asked to bat first, India A got knocked over on 290, with Shams Mulani top-scoring with 89. Harshit Rana picked up four wickets for India D. In reply, Devdutt Padikkal was the lone fighter with 92 as India D finished on 183.
On the back of centuries from Pratham Singh (122) and Tilak Varma (111*), India A declared their innings on 380/3. Chasing 488, India D got bundled out on 301 to lose the game by 186 runs. With this, India A grabbed their first win of the Duleep Trophy 2024.
In the fourth match, India C posted a mammoth 525 on the board, thanks to a quickfire fifty from Ishan Kishan (111). Mukesh Kumar and Rahul Chahar grabbed four scalps each for India B.
Skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran (157*) carried his bat throughout the innings for India B as they finished on 332. Anshul Kamboj bowled a scintillating spell for India C and registered figures of 8/69.
India C declared their second innings on 128/4, with Ruturaj Gaikwad scoring 62 at the top of the order as the match ended in a draw. Both sides remained unbeaten in the Duleep Trophy 2024 with this drawn match.
Duleep Trophy 2024 Most Runs
Ricky Bhui of India D is the leading run-scorer in the Duleep Trophy 2024 after the conclusion of the second round. He scored a brilliant 113 in their second innings against India A. He now has 184 runs in two games and sits at the top of the list.
Musheer Khan of India B has slipped to the second spot after having scored 182 runs in three innings. India B’s Abhimanyu Easwaran scored unbeaten 157 against India C and has jumped to the third spot after taking his tally to 174.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, India C skipper, hit fifties in both innings against India B and sits fourth in the most runs list. He has 171 runs to his name in four outings. His teammate Baba Indrajith has slipped to the fifth spot from fourth with 162 runs in two games.
Duleep Trophy 2024 Most Wickets
Anshul Kamboj of India C bowled an astonishing spell against India B. He blew away the opposition and picked up eight wickets, giving away 69 runs in 27.5 overs. He has jumped to the pole position in the most wickets list, having taken his tally to 11.
India B’s Mukesh Kumar picked up five wickets in the game against India C and has moved to the second spot from sixth. He now has 10 wickets in two games. Akash Deep has slipped to the third spot. He has nine wickets in one game at an average of 12.88.
Khaleel Ahmed of India A sits below his teammate, with nine wickets in two games at 21.66. He picked up a total of four wickets against India D. Harshit Rana and Manav Suthar have grabbed eight wickets each and follow Khaleel in the most wickets list.
