Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Narayan Jagadeesan has grabbed the headlines with his explosive batting performance in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Playing for Tamil Nadu in the knockout match against Rajasthan, Jagadeesan smacked six fours in a row off Aman Shekhawat's bowling.

The preliminary quarterfinal round of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024/25 began on January 9 in Baroda. Rajasthan are up against Tamil Nadu, and they scored 267 runs in the first innings.

Chasing 268 for a win, Tushar Raheja came out to open the batting with Narayan Jagadeesan. Both batters started well, scoring 10 runs off the first over. Aman Shekhawat came in to bowl the next over and started with five wides.

Aman then bowled four deliveries outside off stump. Jagadeesan smashed them for four fours towards the off-side. The first ball flew over the first slip for a four, followed by a boundary towards point and then the third-man region and point again.

Aman then changed his line and bowled a delivery closer to his body, which Jagadeesan pulled for a four towards square leg. On the final ball of the over, Aman fired a short delivery towards the leg-side, but Jagadeesan flicked it away for a four.

Can Narayan Jagadeesan help Tamil Nadu qualify for Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024/25 quarterfinals?

Narayan Jagadeesan has completed his half-century in the ongoing preliminary quarterfinal match against Rajasthan. Tamil Nadu have raced to 86/2 after 15 overs. Tushar Raheja and Boopathi Kumar have lost their wickets, with Baba Indrajith joining Jagadeesan in the middle.

Rajasthan captain Mahipal Lomror did not give another over to Aman Shekhawat after he leaked 29 runs in his first over. It will be interesting to see if Tamil Nadu can pull off a successful run-chase of 268 in Baroda. You can follow the live score here.
