The BCCI has confirmed the final player list for the IPL 2025 mega auction. From the long list of 1,574 players, a total of 574 names have been shortlisted and will be a part of the auction, which will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25.

Among the players who are eligible to go under the hammer, 366 are Indian, while 208 are overseas cricketers (three of them being from Associate nations). The IPL 2025 auction list includes 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players. Further, 48 capped Indian players and 193 capped overseas players will be up for grabs at the two-day auction in Jeddah.

On October 31, all the 10 IPL franchises announced their retention list. Subsequently, 204 slots are remaining to be filled up at the IPL 2025 mega auction, with 70 of the available slots being for overseas players. Talking about price brackets, ₹2 crore is the highest base price category, while ₹30 lakh is the lowest.

Talented players from Afghanistan have played a key role in the success of the IPL over the years. Eighteen rom the Asian country have been shortlisted for the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Among them, five players have listed the highest base price of ₹2 crore - Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Noor Ahmad, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Naveen-Ul-Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqi. Gurbaz was part of the IPL 2024-winning Kolkata Knight Riders franchise. He played only two matches during the season. The keeper-batter, though, has been in impressive form in international cricket recently.

Left-arm wrist-spinner Noor was part of Gujarat Titans for a couple of seasons and come up with some impressive efforts. Right-arm pacer Naveen-Ul-Haq has been released by Lucknow Super Giants, while left-arm pacer Farooqi has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

All the 10 IPL franchises have been given a purse of ₹120 crore to build their respective squads for the 2025 season. Following retentions, Punjab Kings, who retained only two players, have the highest purse of ₹110.5 crore left. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals, who retained six players, have the lowest purse of ₹41 crore remaining.
