"Happy 2025"- Sanjana Ganesan poses with husband Jasprit Bumrah and extends New Year wishes

Jasprit Bumrah and his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, extended New Year wishes to their fans through an Instagram post as we bid adieu to 2024. The couple are in Australia as Bumrah is representing India in the BGT 2024-25 series.

He has been the stand-out bowler across both teams so far, picking up 30 wickets across four Tests, with Pat Cummins trailing way behind with 20 scalps. However, other Indian bowlers and batters have failed to support Jasprit Bumrah much, as the side is trailing by 1-2 in the five-match series.

Sanjana and Bumrah shared a lovely picture of themselves on their Instagram handles, sending New Year wishes to everyone with a caption that read:

"Happy 2025 from mum & dad and Angadoo, who isn’t in this picture because he went to bed at 9 PM like the best little boy he is ❤️"

"He has been absolutely sensational"- Aakash Chopra on Jasprit Bumrah's performances in BGT 2024-25

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently heaped praise on Jasprit Bumrah for his exceptional bowling performances in the ongoing BGT 2024-25 series in Australia. He said that Bumrah looked a class apart in the series and singlehandedly carried India's fortunes on his shoulders. In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra said:

"He has been absolutely sensational. He is unbelievable. Many times, it seemed like Jassi alone is on one side and everyone else is on the other, that he is carrying the team alone and no one else is able to support him. The truth is that he doesn't get that much help from the other end. Words fail us. Indian cricket is very fortunate that a batter comes at times seeing whom you say 'wow', and then you get a bowler like that suddenly."

He added:

"In fact, the way he is bowling in this whole series, we don't know which way this BGT will go, this series will eventually be remembered for Jasprit Bumrah, the result notwithstanding because it's very rare that a bowler like this comes to Australian shores and bowls like this consistently."
