Pakistan seamer Hasan Ali had to scream into the microphone during the ongoing 2025 Pakistan Super League draft at the Huzoori Bagh in Lahore Fort on Monday, January 13 to confirm one of Karachi Kings' picks. This incident occurred after a mic malfunction, with Ali having to scream to confirm that his side had picked David Warner in the draft.
The Kings were asked by host Dominic Cork to confirm who their Platinum category pick. Kings captain Shan Masood seemingly replied with Warner's name but wasn't audible due to the malfunction. It was then left to Ali to scream Warner's name.
"Number two on your Platinum category - and your player is?" asked Cork.
However, after not receiving a clear response from the Kings' management, Cork repeated himself. Hasan Ali then made things clear for everyone involved.
"David Warner!" Ali screemed.

Islamabad United enter PSL 2025 as defending champions
The Pakistan Super League's tenth edition is slated to begin in the Indian subcontinent's summer. It has been scheduled to start on April 8, 2025, with the final slated for May 19.
The 2024 edition of the tournament was won by Islamabad United, who beat Multan Sultans in the final. The Sultans batted first and put up a par total of 159-8 on the board. The game went right down to the wire in the second innings, with Islamabad needing one run off the last ball.
Hunain Shah, who was on strike, then proceeded to steer a gentle slower ball outside off from Mohammad Ali past the short third man to take his team through. This was Islamabad's third title win in the PSL, having won the 2016 and 2018 editions previously.
Islamabad United will play in the opening PSL 2025 game, against Peshawar Zalmi.
