New Zealand can return to 4th position in ICC World Test Championship points table if they beat India in 3rd match
The third match of the ongoing India vs New Zealand Test series will begin this week at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. New Zealand have gained an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
The Kiwis will be keen to complete a 3-0 whitewash, and if they are successful, they can climb to the fourth spot again, with their points percentage going up to 54.55%.
On the other hand, India will drop from first to second position in the ICC World Test Championship points table if they lose against New Zealand in Mumbai.
India's points percentage will drop to 58.33% if they lose to the Kiwis again. A 0-3 defeat against New Zealand will reduce India's chances of qualifying for the final significantly.
